The Problem: An Archaic System
The Midnight Rush
Reservations open 7 days in advance, forcing residents to wake up at midnight to secure a spot. Desirable times are gone in minutes.
No-Shows & Court Hogging
Generous 2-hour slots are often booked and left empty. This wastes valuable court time and prevents others from playing.
Inefficient Workflow
Users must select a court before seeing available times, making the process of finding a slot tedious and frustrating.
The Solution: A Modern, Fair System
How It Works
- ✓Time-First Booking: Choose your desired 1-hour slot, then see all available courts.
- ✓App-Based Check-in: Use a simple mobile app to check in at the court, which unlocks the gate via proxy readers.
- ✓Automated No-Show Policy: If a player doesn't check in within 10 minutes, a $5 penalty is added to their HOA bill and the court is automatically freed for others.
- ✓Easy Management: View and manage all your bookings in one place within the app.
Common Sense Rules
- ✓One Active Booking: Limit households to one future reservation at a time to ensure fair access.
- ✓Weekly Limit: Implement a reasonable weekly booking cap per household to prevent monopolization.
- ✓Cancellation Window: Require cancellations at least 12 hours in advance to avoid the no-show penalty.

Let's Make Our Courts Better, Together
A Message to the Board
We urge the Riverstone HOA Board to review this proposal and recognize the widespread resident demand for a modern, efficient, and fair reservation system. Implementing this change will not only resolve ongoing frustrations but will also demonstrate a commitment to improving community amenities for everyone. Let's invest in a solution that serves the entire community.
A Call to Our Fellow Residents
A truly fair system requires us all to embrace change. For those who benefited from the old system, we ask you to consider the spirit of community. This proposal is about ensuring everyone has a reasonable chance to enjoy our shared courts, not just those who can race to book at midnight. Let's move forward from a status quo that benefits a few to a future that serves us all.
